This role will be within our Muir Construction division of the Group of Companies.
Purpose of Role:
The role is to apply estimating procedures to all tender inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
* Timeous preparation, submission of tenders, budget cost, cost plans
* Sufficiency of all estimating submission
* Reporting to MD on all tenders prior to submission for authorisation, in conjunction with Pre-Construction Director
* Running of Computer Aided Estimating
* Attend client meetings
* Present tender information to project team
* Handover of contracts awarded
* Incorporate Sub-Contractor/Suppliers prices in tenders
* Visiting site where required to identify site specific issues
* Creating final tender summary breakdowns for clear analysis.
Attributes:
The potential candidate will possess the following personal attributes;
* Experience of using ConQuest Estimating software
* Knowledge of SMM7/nrm2
* Self-motivated, being able to work alone or in a team
* Experience in construction estimating
* Detail orientated and driven
* Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
* Proficient with MS Word and Excel
