About The Role
As a Security Officer, you'll be part of a professional team ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of our operations. Reporting to the Security Team Leader, you'll support day-to-day security activities, uphold Health & Safety and compliance standards and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and contractors.
You'll play a key role in developing and following effective security protocols to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
Day Shift
* Control vehicle entry and exit, carrying out thorough security checks and verifying paperwork.
* Manage gatehouse operations with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Respond to incidents quickly and professionally, following training and protocols.
* Conduct regular site patrols (on foot and by vehicle).
* Complete reports, registration checks, and administrative duties to a high standard.
* Carry out vehicle spot checks, speed checks, and searches, escalating concerns where necessary.
Night Shift
* Conduct regular patrols (on foot or by vehicle) to safeguard the site.
* Monitor CCTV and other security systems, reporting and acting on any concerns.
* Respond to and manage security incidents as required.
* Maintain clear, accurate records and ensure smooth handovers to day staff.
What We're Looking For
* Full clean driving licence.
* Proven, checkable employment history.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* Solid administrative ability and attention to detail.
* Good physical fitness for patrols and active duties.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Security vehicles provided for patrols.
