Delivery Coordinator – Seren Academy (Wales)
Location: Homebased, flexible within Wales with the need for travel for activities and events.
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Start Date: September 2025
Term: 1-year fixed-term, with potential 4-year extension
Overview
We are looking for a Delivery Coordinator to support the delivery of the Seren Academy– the Welsh Government’s flagship higher education access initiative.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operational running of the programme, working closely with the Senior Delivery Manager at Welsh Government, the team of six Delivery Managers based across Wales and engaging with learners, schools, colleges and HEI partners.

The Seren Academy delivers a programme of specialised support aimed at the needs of our brightest learners and delivers a hybrid programme of super curricular activity to stretch and challenge which builds from Year 8 to Year 13.
Your Role
You will play a central role in coordinating support for the Seren Academy Delivery Team, in particular the Senior Delivery Team Manager. This will include:
* Project coordination - maintain project plans, task lists and risk/action logs.
* Supporting engagement – coordinate face to face delivery on behalf of the team
* Programme logistics – to include booking venues, travel and accommodation; liaise with speakers, suppliers and parents; prepare joining instructions for in-person and virtual events.
* Budget monitoring – support the team to consider value for money, track headline spend against budget; code invoices and raise purchase orders before handing to finance for processing.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate with:
* Proven experience in project or programme coordination (education, public-sector or third-sector settings welcome).
* Communication skills to proactively engage with young people, teachers and stakeholders demonstrating clear written and verbal communication skills; confident working with dispersed teams.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail; able to juggle multiple deadlines calmly.
* Competent user of spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for timelines, simple budgets or task tracking.
* Proactive, solution-focused attitude; comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
* Familiarity with basic budgeting processes.
