We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver clear, high-quality lessons that support student learning.
* Develop and maintain expert knowledge in the subjects taught.
* Prioritize reading to enhance pupils’ fluency, confidence, and enjoyment.
* Manage behaviour positively and in accordance with school policies.
* Transport pupils in your own vehicle when required.
Essential Criteria:
* Provide professional one-to-one support and supervision for pupils aged 11-16, encouraging active engagement in learning and working towards set goals.
* Achieved GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent.
* Experience working with special educational needs.
* Proficient in using ICT.
* Demonstrate a high level of patience and tolerance.

* Two most recent professional references covering the last 24 months
* Overseas Police Check if applicable (for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the past 5 years)
