Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Oxfordshire Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Company Overview: We are proud to be working with a highly respected main contractor based in Oxfordshire. With an outstanding reputation for delivering heritage and high-end residential refurbishment and restoration projects, this contractor has built long-term relationships with clients, architects, and consultants across the region. Their work is defined by quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of prestigious projects, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects from inception through to completion. * Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports. * Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and contract management. * Carry out valuations, variations, and final account agreements. * Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to directors and stakeholders. * Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality standards. * Work closely with project teams, architects, and clients to maintain excellent working relationships. * Contribute to risk management, value engineering, and cost control strategies. * Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team where required. Key Requirements / Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally at senior level. * Strong background in heritage and/or high-end residential refurbishment is highly desirable. * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent (RICS accreditation advantageous). * Excellent knowledge of construction contracts (JCT experience essential). * Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. * Commercially astute with excellent cost management and reporting skills. * Proficient in relevant software (MS Office, Excel, and QS packages). * Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to sites across Oxfordshire.
