The process support engineer will focus on enabling the Prototype & Testing (P&T) team to operate at pace while remaining aligned with STEP's engineering governance. This role ensures that the processes, tools, and governance mechanisms needed by P&T are surfaced, developed, and integrated into the wider programme framework without slowing delivery. Operating in a fast-moving environment, the role holder will work directly with P&T engineers and programme governance teams to define, implement, and continuously improve fit-for-purpose processes. They will act as the key interface between P&T and the engineering governance layer, ensuring that local needs are met while maintaining cohesion across the STEP programme. This role will provide a broad range of hands on support, building practical solutions, highlighting opportunities to develop digital workflows, and structured documentation that allow P&T to deliver prototypes and tests efficiently and compliantly. The role holder will champion proportional, scalable governance that supports innovation and rapid iteration.
