Job Description:We are seeking a passionate and conscientiousSEN Teaching Assistantto join our dedicated team at Chelsea Hall School. As an outstanding Independent Special School for students aged 4-11 with mild to moderate, complex learning needs, we are committed to providing the best educational support possible.
Role Overview:
* Position:SEN Teaching Assistant
* Location:Wandsworth, London
* Salary:£21,000 - £24,000 per year
* Start Date:ASAP-August (Depending on vacancies)
* Contract:Full-Time, Permanent
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of students with special educational needs (SEN).
* Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
* Providing one-to-one support for students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals.
* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards one.
* Prior experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
* Understanding of the needs of students with SEN.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Additional training in areas such as Makaton, Team Teach, or Autism Awareness is preferred.
Working Conditions:
* Full-Time, Monday to Friday.
* Work may involve physical activities such as assisting students with mobility or personal care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
