About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Helpdesk Manager to join a leading financial services organisation during a period of growth.
You’ll lead a talented IT team, overseeing day-to-day helpdesk operations and managing the organisation’s infrastructure. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to shape the delivery of IT services, drive process improvement, and lead a team committed to providing outstanding technical support. You will have a deputy reporting into you alongside a team of six.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and develop the IT Helpdesk and Infrastructure team.
* Manage IT systems including servers, networks, and storage to ensure reliability and performance.
* Oversee daily service delivery, ensuring SLAs are met and customer satisfaction remains high.
* Manage and improve helpdesk processes, ticketing systems, and documentation.
* Act as a key escalation point for complex technical issues.
* Drive infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.
* Ensure cybersecurity best practice, patch management, and compliance with internal policies.
* Manage third-party vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Report on IT performance, risks, and project progress to senior stakeholders.
About You
* Proven experience managing IT support or infrastructure teams.
* Minimum 5 years experience in IT management within a professional or financial services environment.
* Strong technical knowledge across networks, servers, and helpdesk systems.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Relevant IT or Computer Science qualification (degree or equivalent).
