Stirling Council is looking for an Infrastructure Project Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of major and strategic projects across Stirling, and improving the region’s connectivity and economic ambitions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major projects, help fulfil our policy and network aims and objectives, and ensure the infrastructure delivered in Stirling is safe and resilient.
We are looking for a person with roads design and delivery experience, and with ambitions to gain experience in this area and others, whilst working towards professional status. You will:
 1. Undertake and contribute to the provision of technical advice and guidance on all aspects of transport best practice across modes, to support economic aims for the council, and for energy related designs.
 2. Undertake and support the team with investigating, developing, and evaluating design solutions on the basis of their value and impact on the environment, safety, economy, integration, accessibility, quality of design, and ease of construction.
 3. Brief, take oversight, and contribute to technical surveys, assessment and feasibility studies, preparation of drawings, compilation of bills of quantities, and evaluation of cost estimates.
 4. Work with the councils Roads Design Team, and other internal teams, and with contractors, consultants to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
 5. Support colleagues and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the service.
