Matchtech is supporting a key client with the requisition of a Test & Commissioning Engineer for a contract position in Birmingham. This role will involve delivering hands-on testing activities across site-based systems, supporting the safe and efficient progression through both static and dynamic commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute assigned testing activities in accordance with approved test plans and procedures
Undertake a range of testing activities, including functional testing, interface testing, and fault investigation and support for rectification
Accurately record, document, and submit test results in line with project requirements
Support testing activities during night shifts and weekends where required to meet programme needs
Work flexibly across multiple disciplines to maintain project progress and programme momentum
Identify, escalate, and track defects and safety issues in a timely and proactive manner
Key Interfaces:
Test, Integration & Commissioning (TIC) and Systems T&C Engineers
Discipline Engineers across relevant systems
Construction Supervisors and site teams
Job Requirements:
4-8 years' Experience in rail testing within commissioning environments
Exposure to Light Rail, Metro, or Conventional Rail systems
Proven ability to operate effectively within time-critical, fast-paced commissioning programmes
