Job Title: Head of Compliance

Job Summary:
As the Head of Compliance at eVenturing, you will lead the Compliance Department, ensuring that all portfolio businesses’ operations and procedures adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across multiple sectors, including Amazon FBA businesses and the broader FMCG industry. Your expertise will be pivotal in upholding our reputation and operational integrity in highly regulated markets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and continually enhance compliance programs to align with internal policies, legal standards, and industry-specific regulations, particularly those governing Amazon FBA operation
* Conduct thorough compliance audits and risk assessments across different product categories, including supplement, cosmetics, food products, and electronics, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards such as labelling, product testing and safety
* Lead the compliance team in proactive monitoring of our operations to prevent and address any illegal, unethical, or improper conduct
* Maintain current knowledge of changes in regulatory landscapes, particularly those affecting eCommerce and FMCG sectors, and adapt compliance strategies to meet these evolving requirements
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure that compliance training materials are clear, comprehensive, and effectively disseminated throughout the organisation
* Manage and respond to regulatory enquiries and investigations, preparing necessary documentation and overseeing corrective measures when required
* Foster a robust culture of compliance and integrity, promoting awareness and understanding of ethical standards and compliance policies across all levels of the company.
* Provide strategic compliance insights to senior management, influencing corporate strategies and operations with a focus on compliance-driven solutions
* Serve as the chief advisor on compliance matters for all business development efforts
Qualifications:
* Demonstrable experience in a compliance role, specifically within the FMCG sector and dealing with Amazon FBA regulations
* Extensive knowledge of industry specific standards and regulations, including those relating to supplements, cosmetics, food safety, and electronic product certifications
* Proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs that support business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance
* Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing, mentoring, and motivating a diverse compliance team.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the proficiency to engage effectively at all organisational levels
* Critical thinker with adept problem-solving skills, emphasising proactive risk management
