Join to apply for the Legal Assistant role at Flint Bishop in the Commercial Property department (North region), based in Sheffield. The role supports fee earners with a wide range of administration tasks and provides client‑focused service.
Responsibilities
* Perform legal research on behalf of the commercial property fee earners.
* Handle file openings and generate client care letters for solicitors.
* Monitor fee earner inbox and assist with straightforward replies.
* Order conveyancing searches, monitor and manage search results.
* Deal with Land Registry applications, prepare LR forms, prepare fee schedules, submit fee proposals, monitor progress via portal, and handle simple requisitions and more complex ones as needed.
* Assist with AML and source of funds checks.
* Assist with client onboarding.
* Handle straightforward client calls in a timely manner.
* Prepare financial statements and deal with standard requisitions.
* Prepare and submit SDLT forms.
* Assist with file management and general administrative tasks.
* Provide support as required by the Partner and team.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
* Excellent telephone handling skills and strong communication.
* Preferably experience in a legal secretary or administrative role.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
* Focus on resolutions and positive outcomes.
* Excellent time management and ability to work to tight deadlines with caseloads.
* Enthusiastic, willing to develop with the team and the business.
* Commitment with potential career progression opportunities; must demonstrate continued success in the Legal Assistant/PA role, including drafting and client-facing work.
