Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to make full time appointment for a consultant psychiatrist to work in the Older Age Psychiatry service.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality inpatient and outpatient mental health care for older people with severe and enduring mental health problems.
* Work closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent, high‑quality mental health care for older people within the Oldham area.
* Specialise in early diagnosis of dementia and provide support to patients and families.
* Address moderate to severe mental health problems such as depression, bipolar disorder, delirium, and severe anxiety.
* Coordinate care across community buildings, clinics, specialist wards, and hospital sites.
* Ensure smooth transitions from community treatment to hospital care and back, following discharge with reliable community support.
