About our client
Our client own and operate three plastic and steel fabrication companies in Perth and one in Melbourne. They serve a wide range of industries such as mining, water treatment, bio-tech, heavy industry and equipment manufacturing.
They are seeking a driven Sales Manager to spearhead sales initiatives for the group and contribute to the company's long-term success.
About the opportunity
This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the sales function across four profitable businesses and drive revenue growth with a holistic approach. With a limited sales structure currently in place, you will be leaned on to provide thought leadership to help establish a structured sales process from the ground up.
Responsibilities
* Own the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, focusing on all applicable industrial sectors and leveraging existing networks.
* Help implement a new CRM system
* Respond to tenders and manage RFQs/RFPs
* Hire your own team (in time)
* Travel as needed to expand market reach (Perth Metro based)
About you
For the right operator, this is an opportunity to move from executing sales to defining how sales is done. To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
* Ability to build and execute a sales strategy
* Hunter mentality and love the chase
* Business development and sales experience in the Industrial materials or engineering sector
* Some understanding of either Industrial plastics, structural steel or other industrial products/equipment
