Joining the Systems Engineering team, you will get: The opportunity to work alongside like-minded professional engineers in a highly collaborative environment on a world class military system The opportunity to learn about a wide-variety of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and how they are used with subject training and access to subject-matter experts The opportunity to lead complex sub-system testing and evaluation in a laboratory environment, working with synthetic environments both Hardware-in the loop and software in the loop The opportunity to develop mentoring and coaching skills by supporting less experienced engineers as they learn the art and craft of integration and testing Close working with the software & hardware teams to develop upgrades for the sub-systems Engagement with the end user and customer network to ensure cohesion and suitability of integration activities and timelines The opportunity to add your input to the development of the overall system trials strategy What you'll do as an Integration and Test Engineer: You will contribute your knowledge and experience to the system integration, system test, and system verification, validation and trials activities Manage day-to-day tasking of more junior engineers supporting integration activities Authoring of test and integration plans and procedures Production and analysis of test data acquired during integration and formal test to provide evidence and conclusions of the performance and functional of the upgrade Preparing for, and supporting test readiness reviews for formal test events Supporting the achievement of qualification, certification and acceptance from relevant design authorities, customers and end users Provide sub-system functional knowledge as part of the planning and conduct of system level testing Ensuring the integrity of verification evidence accumulated from System-level integration and test activities What we need from you: To be an enthusiastic engineer with a solid set of skills and experience in planning, preparing for, conducting and reporting on integration, testing and qualification activities Experience of working with complex electronic systems (ideally, but not exclusively, airborne military electronic systems) Experience of conducting integration and test activities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniorities Experience of participating in test readiness activities (for example a Test Readiness Review) for assessing the level of preparedness and risk for upcoming test activities The ability to cope with a high degree of design complexity and significant levels of uncertainty Experience of providing test and integration input to designers as part of system development To be self-motivated with an aptitude for problem solving and driving difficult issues to conclusion Excellent communications skill Life at Leonardo With a company funded benefits package, a commitment to learning and development, and a flexible approach to working hours focused on the needs of both our employees and customers, a career with Leonardo has never offered as many opportunities or been more accessible to as many people.
