We are seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to join a welcoming school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong facilities management skills and a hands-on approach to maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment.

The Role As Premises Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the school. You will oversee day-to-day site management, liaise with contractors, and ensure the school environment is safe, secure, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a keyholder, ensuring the premises are opened and secured each day
Supervising and coordinating contractors and the facilities team
Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Ensuring heating, lighting, and alarm systems are operational
Maintaining health and safety standards across the site
Monitoring site security and cleanliness
Managing stock levels and ordering equipment as required
About You We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual with:
Previous experience in a similar caretaker or premises management role (school experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of site maintenance, security, and health & safety practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service
