Position: Lunchtime Assistant x 2

Report to: School Business Manager
Salary: Grade 1 - £24,796 - £25,185 (pro rata to hours and weeks worked). Term time only - 7.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* To work with staff to ensure that the lunchtime runs efficiently and smoothly.
* Supervise children in the area in which they eat their lunch.
* Assist and supervise the clearing away and tidying of the eating area.
* Supervise children after lunch, inside or outside the school building, ensuring health, safety and security in accordance with the School Behaviour Policy.
* Maintain reasonable behaviour and safe conduct of pupils, dealing with incidents of disorder and minimising disruption.
* Attend to accidents during lunchtime in line with school procedures and report accidents to the duty leader.
* Carry out other duties as directed by the line manager.
* Observe confidentiality and Data Protection principles.
* Be aware of personal health, safety and welfare responsibilities and those of others who may be affected by your actions.
* Support the School's implementation of statutory requirements (e.g., Equality Act, Equal Opportunities, Child Protection).
* Participate in new initiatives and changes in service delivery to support school objectives.
* Undertake any other duties, as required by the line manager, to the level of the post.

Requirements
* Act in compliance with the data protection principles in respecting the privacy of personal information held by the council.
* Comply with the principles of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 in relation to management of Council records and information.
* Carry out duties with regard to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy, Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy and other policies.
* Comply with the Council’s Health and Safety rules and regulations and Health and Safety legislation.
* To perform lunchtime duties that are reasonably aligned with the general character of the post and its level of responsibility.
* This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
* To complete supervision of lunchtime duties including data protection and safeguarding commitments.
