A leading legal firm based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Document Preparation Specialist to support its various legal teams. The firm ismitted to operational excellence, collaborative working, and continuous improvement across its departments.


Your new role

As a passionate and adept individual, your primary responsibility is to manage and execute a range of administrative and support tasks, providing excellent service to external stakeholders. You will contribute to improving the operations' productivity.
1. Produce, edit, and format documents using Word, PowerPoint, Foxit, and Excel to meet house style and client specifications.
2. Managemunications and instructions via phone, email, and teams.
3. Collaborate with fee earners, coordinators, and the PA team to meet document deadlines and resolve issues.
4. Support special projects, pilot schemes, and formatting initiatives
5. Assist with troubleshooting, reporting faults, and liaising with IT and training teams.
6. Maintain flexibility to adjust priorities, work additional hours, and contribute across departments as needed.
7. Uphold quality standards, seek training opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this highlypetitive role, you will have:

8. Proven experience in document production, ideally within the legal sector.
9. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word (styles, cross-referencing, track changes, table of contents), with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
10. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organisational skills.
11. Effectivemunication and teamwork, with a proactive approach to training and continuous improvement.
12. Ability to manage deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and uphold firm policies and procedures.
