About the Role:
A high-performing secondary school in Manchester is seeking a skilled Maths Intervention Tutor to provide targeted support to pupils who are working below age-related expectations in Maths. This role is ideal for recent Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators looking for a flexible teaching opportunity focused on pupil progress rather than classroom management.
Main Duties:
* Plan and deliver bespoke Maths sessions to small groups of KS3 and KS4 students
* Work alongside class teachers to identify learning gaps and monitor pupil progress
* Use data to inform intervention planning and adapt teaching styles as needed
* Provide structured exam preparation for Year 11 pupils
* Help build student confidence in numeracy and problem-solving skills
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Degree in Mathematics or related subject
* Previous experience tutoring or teaching secondary students
* Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum for Maths (KS3 & KS4)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students
* QTS is desirable but not essential
