Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties is proud to be exclusively partnering with a growing business based in Northamptonshire, currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team.
Role:
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating your assigned projects with an emphasis on thorough planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Coordination:
o Liaise with trades and contractors to schedule works, arrange materials, and address job queries.
o Maintain clear, regular communication with Network Contractors to ensure all jobs on the network are managed effectively, while building and sustaining long-term relationships.
* Procurement & Cost Management:
o Purchase materials and hire plant for approved works.
o Manage all aspects of plant hire and off-hire.
o Reconcile actual costs against estimates and provide cost-saving insights when ordering materials, authorising contractors, and allocating work.
o Raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers and contractors
* Customer & File Management:
o Oversee the customer, client, and claimant experience from start to finish of the repair process.
o Validate all job details accurately and maintain excellence in file handling by logging all telephone and email communications, updating workflows and reminders, and labelling documents appropriately.
o Handle invoice processing for repair jobs.
* Site Support & Risk Management:
o Review and create risk assessments; collate all required repair documentation.
o Ensure legal compliance and welfare planning for operatives prior to site attendance.
o Conduct end-of-day checks with trades and escalate issues to the appropriate site manager or member of management as necessary.
o Arrange emergency call outs when required.
Candidate Profile:
* Must have some knowledge of construction, ideally through previous work experience or familiarity with the industry.
* Relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
* While our team includes several recent graduates, we are particularly keen to add someone with experience.
* Attention to detail and a professional, courteous phone manner are essential.
Salary & Working Hours:
* Salary: £28,000 to £35,000
* Holiday:
o 25 days plus bank holidays
o Additional 16 hours of time off in lieu (taken in no more than two-hour slots), equating to a total of 27 days plus bank holidays
o An extra day off for your birthday, if it falls on a weekday
