We are seeking a proactive Part-Qualified Fund Accountant to join a dynamic global investment team. In this role, you will contribute to the smooth operation of multi-asset pooled investment vehicles, supporting finance processes, client reporting, and operational controls. You will act as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external service providers, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all aspects of fund administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with core finance activities for various investments, including the review of valuations, cash movements, and client statements.
* Provide support to internal teams by reviewing reports prepared by external administrators, helping to interpret and analyse accounting information.
* Manage relationships with external partners such as banks, custodians, and fund administrators, escalating issues as needed to senior team members.
* Maintain robust operational controls through checklists, documentation, and proactive investigation of discrepancies, ensuring standards of quality and timeliness are upheld.
* Serve as a central point of information for the team, coordinating communications with internal stakeholders and external providers.
* Collaborate across functions to research and resolve issues, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation and data management projects.
* Uphold information security protocols, data protection policies, and regulatory compliance, raising any concerns promptly through appropriate channels.
Requirements:
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* 1–3 years' experience in fund accounting, investment administration, or a related financial services environment.
* Familiarity with multi-asset class funds, accounting processes, and valuations.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
* Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in Excel; experience with fund accounting or administration systems is desirable.
