HR Adviser
Location: Folkestone
Salary: £33,042 per annum based on 52 weeks per year (or £27,827.00 per year for 40 weeks)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 additional weeks (40 weeks a year) and 1 day working from home.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward‑thinking and experienced HR Advisor to join their supportive and high‑performing HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional HR support. Working primarily across school sites, with flexibility to work from home one day a week, you will play a key role in providing expert HR guidance across a broad range of people matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional, high‑quality HR advice to managers and employees.
* Support organisational change processes and ensure accurate administration throughout.
* Manage employee relations matters, including absence, performance, grievance and disciplinary cases.
* Coach and guide leaders on employment practices, HR policies and procedures.
* Lead and support HR projects, audits, recruitment and induction processes.
* Maintain accurate employee data, ensuring full compliance with GDPR and safeguarding standards.
* Analyse HR reports, track KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Facilitate investigations, produce reports and advise on appropriate next steps.
* Support performance management, appraisals, probation monitoring and exit interviews.
About You
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
* Strong knowledge of HR legislation and best practice.
* Demonstrable experience in a busy HR environment, ideally within education.
* Excellent communication, relationship‑building and coaching skills.
* Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
* Confident using HR systems with meticulous attention to detail.
