Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 16:30
Every second Saturday, 08:00 12:00
Additional overtime as required during busy periods
We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected builders merchant for a Yard Manager to lead their Paisley operation.
This is not a role for someone who simply maintains the status quo. We are looking for a strong leader who takes pride in high standards, runs a disciplined and organised yard, and leads by example.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a busy yard environment, developing teams, and ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and to a consistently high standard.
The Role
* Manage the day-to-day running of the yard operation
* Lead, motivate and develop the yard team
* Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping, organisation and safety
* Ensure stock is handled, stored and dispatched efficiently
* Drive productivity and accountability across the team
* Deliver excellent service to both customers and internal departments
* Take ownership of yard performance and continuously look for improvements
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience managing a builders merchant, distribution, warehouse or yard operation
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to gain the respect of their team
* High personal standards and attention to detail
* Organised, proactive and hands-on management style
* Able to create a positive, accountable and productive working environment
* A leader whose team would willingly xsngvjr follow them again
