Main Purpose of the Role The Stock Handler / Picker is responsible for ensuring all stock is accurately accounted for, correctly stored, and available to support production requirements. The role also ensures that all related documentation is maintained accurately and in a timely manner. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Load and unload deliveries using forklifts and overhead cranes ranging from 5 tonnes up to 65 tonnes. * Collect components for storage and deliver materials to production lines as required. * Ensure work-in-progress contracts are transferred efficiently to the next department or production stage without delay. * Work closely with the Stores department to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and handed over correctly. * Complete all required documentation, including delivery notes for incoming and outgoing goods. * Carry out reasonable ad-hoc duties as requested by the Line Manager or Management Team. * Safeguard all company assets at all times. * Treat colleagues, customers, and suppliers professionally and with respect. * Work responsibly and comply with all safe working practices. * Handle all information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018. Role Requirements Qualifications & Experience * GCSEs / High School education or equivalent. * Overhead crane certification or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience. * Valid forklift truck licence. * Previous experience as a Stock Handler, including lifting and handling heavy equipment. * Ability to prioritise workload to meet production demands. * Flexibility to work late shifts and weekends at short notice when required
