Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Duties
* Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
* Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using hotel management software
* Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to guests
* Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
* Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
* Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions
* Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained to high standards
* Maintain a tidy reception area, ensuring it reflects the hotel's professional image
Requirements
* Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
* Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for communicating with international guests
* Proficiency in using reservation systems and basic computer applications
* Outstanding phone etiquette and communication skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods or challenging situations
* Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
