Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a heavy engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
Hours: Working hours will be 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday: 07:45 - 16:15 and Friday: 07:45 - 12:45

Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for planning the preventative maintenance programme, along with managing and supervising a team of 7 Maintenance Engineers. This role will be 80% office-based and 20% on the tools.
Duties include:
* Ensuring the team and contractors comply with all HS&E site rules
* Developing and maintaining effective preventive maintenance programmes
* Planning maintenance schedules
* Achieving KPIs and team goals
* Conducting performance reviews and setting goals for team members
* Communicating with internal customers about maintenance and repairs
* Setting up and maintaining a critical parts store
* Identifying parts deficiencies and preventing recurrences
* Allocating tasks, running reports, and monitoring assets via an online system
* Managing asset improvement and efficiency programmes
* Promoting continuous improvement culture
We are keen to speak with candidates with the following skills/experience:
* Apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering field
* NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
* BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Engineering
* Experience in heavy engineering environments
* Leadership and people management skills
* Team building and objective setting abilities
* Experience with maintenance planning systems
* Use of overhead cranes (pendant & remote) is desirable
