Key responsibilities
* Acting as the main point of contact with Network Rail Capital Delivery, ASPRO and Station Operations functions, and establishing strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Providing subject‑matter expert advice, guidance and direction to the wider project team in relation to Network Rail.
* Ensuring all project processes and procedures for delivering works with Network Rail are fully aligned to client requirements.
* Supporting Design Consultants in managing technical interfaces and integration with adjacent programmes of works by producing Interface Control Documents and other technical outputs.
* Chairing planning and coordination meetings between Network Rail and project construction teams.
* Managing possessions and station access requests as required.
* Identifying and managing all activities that require asset or infrastructure protection and monitoring.
* Acting as the main point of contact for any emergency incidents involving NR operations.
Technical competencies
* Excellent project management and coordination skills in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Strong understanding of Network Rail processes and procedures, particularly in an operational station environment.
* Knowledge and experience of infrastructure processes and procedures, including GRIP and PACE.
* Knowledge and experience of NR engineering assurance (NR/L2/CIV/003, NR/L2/INI/02009 and NR/L2/INI/P3M/101).
* Ability to collaborate effectively and think creatively to resolve issues.

Qualifications, certifications & experience
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in an operational rail environment.
* Previous experience of working on major construction projects.
* Educated to degree level in engineering or construction discipline, or equivalent experience in major projects or asset management.
* Previous experience in a similar role with aligned responsibilities and accountabilities.
