As a Fertility Nurse/Midwife, you will provide information, advice and emotional support to patients, coordinate treatment cycle plans, coach patients on self-administering fertility drugs, and care for patients pre- and post-theatre as well as in the clinic.
Responsibilities
* Provide advice, information, support and clinical care throughout the patient journey, coordinating treatment cycles with the multi-disciplinary team.
* Support patients with their care plans and help ensure the best possible treatment experience and outcomes.
* Perform venepuncture, interpret and report blood results (training provided for venepuncture and cannulation).
* Conduct basic patient assessments, venepuncture and pre-treatment consultations.
* Assist in theatre procedures (e.g. egg collections, embryo transfers, IUIs, and Hy Co Sy) and prepare theatre, ward and resuscitation trolley as required.
* Contribute to ongoing professional development and participate in training, journals clubs, conferences and role development (e.g., ultrasound scanning and prescribing in the future).

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Qualification in adult nursing (Degree or Diploma) and current NMC registration (nurse or midwife) is essential.
* Post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting is essential.
Experience (Desirable):
* Experience in gynaecology/obstetrics, theatre, venepuncture and ultrasonography is desirable but not essential.
