We are currently recruiting for a Planner to join our team in Slough.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day planning of operatives (direct and subcontractors) to ensure all jobs are adequately allocated, attended, FOW raised, jobs re-booked or closed off as necessary daily.
2. Reviewing jobs on the system, feeding back into reports, and raising any risks to Operational Management.
3. Ensuring all appointments booked are met on time with correct allocation, operative and materials required, and updating residents to ensure a positive customer experience.
4. Checking and allocating all booked jobs ahead of appointments.
5. Daily tracking of jobs and PDA usage (Ops accepting, closing jobs, adding notes, FOWs, SORs, etc.).
6. Reviewing all Ops diaries to ensure appointments are met and closed off with FOWs at COP.
7. Ensuring all emergencies are appointed and allocated promptly (within 2 hours) throughout the day.
8. Monitoring jeopardy daily to ensure no jobs are booked out of target and tracking absence levels to ensure all jobs are completed.
9. Monitoring overdue orders daily, with no more than 20 overdue jobs at any time.
10. Liaising and calling back completion sheets from subcontractors.
11. Monitoring work allocations when cancellations occur (no operative should wait longer than 15 minutes).
12. Coordinating materials as required and advising engineers/supervisors.
13. Booking in authorized VO’s/Quoted FOWs (passed via admin and authorized by Operations).
14. Managing bookings/re-allocations for operative leave, sickness, training, TBT, van breakdown, etc.
15. Updating subcontractor diaries and notes of action in Dynamics.
16. Collaborating with the planning supervisor and team members as needed.
17. Supporting other teams/operatives/subcontractors during busy periods or absences.
18. Reviewing the Repairs Inbox regularly to raise all jobs within 48 hours.
Skills & Experience
1. Previous planning/scheduling experience.
2. Social housing background – desirable.
3. Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
