Primary Teacher - PRU\nPupil Referral Unit\nImmediate Start\nHackney\nFull-time\nPaid to scaleAre you a qualified Teacher who has experience working with EBD and SEMH pupils in a PRU? We are currently looking to recruit an experienced primary teacher to work in a highly regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hackney.\n\nThe Role\n\nIn this Primary Teacher role you will be teaching within their primary provision. Classes will be up to 6 pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
You will have a team of support staff in the class to allow for emotional and behavioural support. You will need to have a good understanding of teaching the KS1/KS2 curriculum and MUST have PRU experience.\n\nYou will need to be approachable and patient and be able to build a strong rapport with the students. You will be working closely with other staff and professionals to manage challenging emotional and social behaviour on a daily basis. Experience in similar settings is essential, along with a calm and resilient approach.\n\nThe Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)\n\nThe PRU works with primary and secondary aged pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings across the borough of Hackney.
Pupils have the chance to develop their skills in a place which fosters tolerance and confidence. The centre allows pupils to refocus on their learning and offers specialist support to allow individual development according to each pupil's needs.
