Fortem Solutions is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Multi to join our new Cambridge Housing Society contract, covering areas around Cambridgeshire. We are seeking a candidate skilled in multiple trades, especially Carpentry and Plumbing. This is a permanent position working on a Fortem contract.
The Client
Our contract with Cambridge Housing Society is new and launching on April 1st. It will be a long-term partnership covering nearly 3,000 properties across Cambridgeshire, primarily in central Cambridge, including houses and flats. The scope includes Repairs, Voids, Cyclical Works, and Planned Workstreams.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance on social housing properties, ensuring high-quality standards.
* Performing multi-skilled tasks to complete jobs beyond core trades.
* Taking ownership of work with a focus on a ‘First Time Fix’.
* Working within budget and time constraints.
* Following health and safety guidelines.
* Staying updated with technical and legal requirements.
* Conducting maintenance and renewal work on properties.
What You Will Need
Essential Criteria:
* Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
* Qualifications or experience in at least one core trade.
* Competent in at least one additional trade.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in social housing settings.
