Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
You will help ensure the store remains a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Working across all areas of the store, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Applying training to work safely.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately for pay.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to keep safe and legal standards.
* If applicable, responsibilities include operating the Post Office, including background checks for criminal and financial history.
