Job Description
Purpose: To support learning and wellbeing and personal, social, and emotional development of Young person in social environments.
Responsibilities:
* Run enrichment activities and workshops.
* Build positive relationships with young people.
* Provide targeted interventions for disengaged pupils.
* Liaise with families and external agencies.
* Safeguard Young People at all times.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
All staff are expected to:
* Promote the welfare of children and young people.
* Be vigilant to potential safeguarding concerns and report appropriately.
* Adhere to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and school policies.
* Complete regular safeguarding and child protection training.
* Act with confidentiality and integrity at all times.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Youth work qualification or relevant experience.
* Ability to engage challenging young people.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
* Strong communication and empathy.
Desirable:
* Experience in AP/PRU or similar settings.
* Training in trauma-informed practice or restorative approaches.
