Job Description: Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Hawarden Estate Holidays

About the Role

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest experience across Hawarden Estate Holidays. You will oversee daily housekeeping operations, coordinate internal staff and external contractors, and help ensure every guest arrives to a welcoming, comfortable, and well-presented environment.

Hours

Minimum 30 hours

Weekend working will be required throughout the year, and working hours or days off may vary accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain excellent cleanliness and presentation standards across guest accommodation, public areas, and facilities.
* Develop, implement, and maintain cleaning procedures, schedules, and checklists.
* Coordinate daily accommodation changeovers using booking systems, adapting to last-minute updates where needed.
* Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage linen hire and deliveries.
* Liaise with other estate teams to coordinate guest requirements, events, and operational needs.
* Manage relationships and scheduling with external cleaning agencies.
* Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff, including preparing and adjusting staff rotas.
* Provide hands-on support with cleaning during busy periods or staff shortages.
* Oversee deep cleans, replenishment of supplies, and honesty shop restocking.
* Report maintenance issues, damages, or losses and carry out regular inventory checks.
* Coordinate event-related cleaning before, during, and after functions.
* Remain available on occasion for urgent bookings, events, or operational issues outside normal hours.

Skills & Experience

* Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
* Strong organisational, leadership, and scheduling skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of health and safety practices within hospitality.
* Flexible, proactive approach with willingness to work varied hours when required.
