We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a significant paving and earthwork package valued at £50m within a major infrastructure programme scheduled to complete in 2027. The wider project is valued at £180m and will continue to operate in a live environment until August. Following this period, there will be a concentrated three month window to deliver £80m worth of works. This will be the peak activity period, and your leadership will be essential to keep the package progressing smoothly and safely.
The role
As Project Manager, you will oversee the paving and earthwork package, managing specialist subcontractors and driving the programme with confidence. You will create accurate programmes, manage progress on site, and maintain excellent coordination with other active packages to ensure that all interfaces run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
Lead the £50m paving and earthwork package from planning to delivery
Manage subcontractor performance and site activity
Write and maintain detailed project programmes
Coordinate teams working between and around other packages
Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders
Report on performance, including burn rate and progressAbout you
You will be a capable and hands on Project Manager, ideally with experience working for a Tier 2 contractor. You must have managed complex packages of similar value and scale. Aviation experience is not essential, but confidence in managing live interfaces, navigating multiple teams, and driving work at pace is crucial.
