What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, ensuring clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
* Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
* Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
* Complying with legal and professional requirements and guidance.
* Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
* Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required, with support available for training if not already completed.
Opportunities for professional development include achieving NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, leading to eligibility to register with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, and potentially progressing to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.
