Due to continued business expansion our client, a UK-based specialist manufacturer of low volume, high quality, speedster cars, are currently looking to recruit Develop Technicians for their head office in Bicester on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting the Workshop Manager and working as part of a friendly workshop team, your responsibilities as a Development Technician will include: Contributing to the development process of our client's next-generation vehicles. Building and testing prototypes to ensure functionality and performance. Assisting with design and engineering tasks, bringing concepts to reality. Working closely with Engineers and other Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges. In to be eligible you will need at least 4/5 years’ experience with motorsport/classic/kit/niche car repair or manufacturing with your own stocked toolbox and a UK driving licence with minimal points. Experience with electric vehicle technology, fabrication techniques, data acquisition and analysis tools, and specific software programmes used in automotive development (e.g. CAD, CAM) would be highly desirable. You will have be able to work with engineering drawings and technical documentation and have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Overall, you will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and overcome technical hurdles, be able to work with a team to achieve project goals, and have a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
