You will be rewarded by being part of a great team in an established business, where contribution is recognised through career progression and remuneration.Primary Responsibilities:Identifying contract opportunities using on-line journalsReviewing PQQ & ITT information to identify opportunities, issues and risks, assessing feasibility and preparing a bid/no bid recommendationUsing the tender library, drafting clear, concise and evidenced tender responses, meeting tender specification and requirementsDrafting all clarifications and managing customer responses.Preparing RFQ letters and correspondence to suppliers to obtain information required for the bidding process.Submitting bids to customers in a timely mannerMaintaining the tender libraryBid Manager Responsibilities:Attending pre-contract award meetings and preparing presentation materialsAs part of contract mobilisation team, ensuring good processes are documented and followed, handing over tender and contract documentation, supporting a smooth go-liveReviewing customer feedback to update and improve the Tender LibraryPreparing customer and supplier correspondence on a diverse range of commercial issuesWorking across the business to gather evidence and examples to support future bidsAct as Project Manager for all bid projects, delegating tasks and documentation, chasing for responses and updating Senior Managers; ensuring timely completion of successful bids.The Bid Manager is also responsible forReviewing and risk scoring tender documentationHighlighting commercial risks to the Commercial & Product Managers and the MDImproving the bid processDelivering and improving the bid / no bid criteria and improving the bid response timeDeveloping and improving the bid librarySupporting relevant projects across the business related to policy developmentSupporting and Co-operatingEnsuring customer satisfaction is maintained throughout the tendering and mobilisation processEscalating any customer contract issues to ManagementLiaising with relevant internal teams to prepare tender documentationEstablishing and maintain clear and concise reporting procedures and actions.Maintaining a safe and healthy working environmentRole Requirements/desirable'sProven bid writing experience at Coordinator or Manager levelProject Management experience and/or qualification - desirableProficient in the use of Microsoft Office packagesExperience of public sector and product bid writingCustomer-facing experienceBenefits:25 days holiday plus bank holidaysContributory pension schemeFree onsite parkingCompany eventsHealth & wellbeing programme
