Company Summary:
A supplier of windows and doors in the UK, as well as being the largest fabricator of the Liniar profile system in the UK. Operating out of their 50,000 sq ft. factory situated in Melton Mowbray, in the heart of rural Leicestershire, they manufacture high quality uPVC windows, doors and conservatories.
Position Summary:
You will be responsible for maintenance, repair and servicing of the manufacturing facilities and equipment, including but not limited to: automated saw centres, plastic welding machines and automated cleaning machinery.
You will assist the Engineering Manager in undertaking activities to ensure that the machinery will perform optimally by completing preventative maintenance, as well as supporting the completion of engineering projects and facility improvements.
Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and servicing of the manufacturing facility and equipment.
* Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment and machinery
* Fault finding and implementation of corrective actions on electrical control circuits, control systems and motos.
* Assist the Engineering Manager in implementation of PPMs
* Assist with creating operating procedures and documentation

Ideal Candidate:
* NVQ Level 3 in either a mechanical or electrical discipline
* Experience with PPM/TPM systems
* Ability to work with low and extra low voltages (1000Vac to 24Vdc).
* Work to and following engineering and technical drawings
* Strong previous experience in the following areas is preferred, but not essential:
o Industrial switch gear
o 415Vac (3 phase) & 240Vac (single phase) motors
o Inverters
o Servo motors
o Varying sensor types (Photocells/proximity switches etc.)
o Plastic welding controls
o Electrical control systems (4 - 20mA, 0 - 10Vdc, 24Vdc, etc.)
o Motor/Gearbox assemblies
o Automated monitoring equipment (proximity switches, thermocouples, safety circuits, etc.)
o Fitment of bearings and ballscrews
