What's involved with this role: Temporary PT Business Services Assistant /Admin – Housing Job Ref: Derbyshire 5246198 Pay Rate: £12.05 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 18.50 Monday and Tuesday 9am to 5pm and Wednesday 9am to 1pm. Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: Ilkeston, Derbyshire Candidates must be prepared to travel to different locations. The purpose of the role is to manage the provision of a flexible, agile and responsive business support service across the Supported Accommodation/Staying Close service. The service strengthens support for those leaving care by improving their connection with the community and family, while improving their mental health and wellbeing, while making positive steps towards independence. The service also monitors accommodation provision for children in care and care leavers. Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of business services staff to provide an efficient and effective business support function ensuring services are delivered to agreed targets and objectives and meet quality standards. Ensure the effective co-ordination of work streams to manage business support within own area of responsibility to support peaks and troughs in business need. Provide, through advice and guidance to social care professionals, operational managers and employees on relevant policies, processes and procedures ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and legislation. Effectively manage the continual development of members of the team, setting objectives and monitoring performance. Responsible for monitoring budgets and the analysis, manipulation and presentation of information and data to inform operational and financial decisions. Undertake research and project work under direction of the Business Service Manager. Work flexibly across Children’s Services Business Services functions providing effective administrative support possibly at a different location as required.
