About the Role
As our Site Financial Controller, you will be a vital member of the Hellaby Site Leadership Team. Collaborating closely with the Plant Manager and the wider Leadership Team, you will:
* Drive the site’s P&L
* Strengthen financial controls
* Deliver against key performance indicators
* Support colleague engagement
Our Hellaby site is home to over 180 colleagues and generates a turnover exceeding £91 million.

Your Responsibilities
Leadership
* Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team to drive the site’s OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures) and G2G (Good to Great) initiatives
* Inspire and develop your team by embodying our Values and Behaviours
* Line manage the Finance Accountant for both Hellaby and Pontefract sites
Intersnack Working Systems (IWS)
* Actively participate in the Site Leadership Team, demonstrating servant leadership
* Coach and support shop floor teams to embed IWS ways of working
* Lead financial insights and challenges across cost centres, manufacturing, and supply chain
* Support the site’s Loss Analysis journey and prioritize improvement projects
Functional and Other Responsibilities
* Lead site financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
* Collaborate with other KP Site Financial Controllers to share best practices
* Prepare and communicate financial reports and KPIs
* Manage site accruals, prepayments, and inventory reconciliations
* Oversee capital project approvals and investment appraisals
* Support change programs, including new product launches
* Maintain strong financial control during period-end reporting
* Lead year-end inventory processes and support external audit queries
* Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline processes
* Play a key role in implementing the new ERP system

What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance: You understand BOMs, variance analysis, and inventory processes, translating data into meaningful insights.
* Practical skills in Excel and ERP systems: You’re confident using advanced Excel functions and have experience with ERP platforms – Power BI is a bonus.
* Relevant experience in food manufacturing or similar: You’ve worked in a fast-paced production environment and understand its challenges and opportunities.
* Bonus points for capital investment and audit experience: You’ve supported investment appraisals and external audits, managing financial controls with confidence.
* Leadership experience and coaching mindset: You’re comfortable leading others and influencing change across all levels.
Qualifications
* CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CA qualified: You’re a fully qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
* Planning and budgeting experience: You’ve led financial planning processes and can manage complexity with confidence.
* Experience in manufacturing finance: You understand how operations and finance connect, driving performance through insight and collaboration.
* Working knowledge of ERP systems: You’re familiar with integrated systems and can support implementation and optimization.
