Are you ready to take on a new challenge? Nemesis Now is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent.
The role of Finance assistant is crucial to supporting the Finance Manager on all aspects of transactional finance, ensuring that the business' financial position is up to date, accurate and there to serve both operational and financial needs throughout the year. While there are administrative tasks, this role is focussed on reconciling and managing financial data, ensuring accurate records are maintained and up to date. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to work within a small finance team.
Be Accountable for;
* Purchase ledger, including processing purchase invoices and credits, reconciliation and payment preparation, following purchase authorisation processes
* Preparation and processing imported goods documents including calculation of duty and Import costs
* Sales ledger, including processing sales Invoices and credit notes, supporting the credit control function.
* Processing bank transactions including Reconciliation of multi-currency bank accounts and credit cards
* Management of central email account
In addition, there will be opportunity and exposure to;
* Actively support credit control function
* Supporting the audit process
* Supporting a small finance team during periods of absence and annual leave
You will have success here if your skills include;
* Ability to take ownership
* Proficient using Microsoft office, namely excel and outlook (essential)
* Confident communicator via telephone, Email, Teams handling both internal and external calls and queries. (essential)
* An inquisitive and active problem solver (essential)
* Enjoy working with high data volumes in a small business environment (essential)
* Accounting qualification (desirable), educated to A-level or equivalent (essential)
* Previous experience of ERP and accounting systems (desirable)
