Senior Graphic Designer

Role details
What you’ll do as a Senior Graphic Designer includes working on a diverse portfolio of brands and delivering visually compelling designs that align with brand identities. You will collaborate with designers and copywriters, and implement your design expertise across print and digital projects, across multiple channels. The role involves handling a high volume of projects in a fast-paced retail environment, staying aware of industry trends, mentoring the wider design team, and ensuring brand consistency and effective design output.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating designs that align with the brand identities of several of our portfolio brands, including Sainsbury’s, Argos, Tu, Habitat, Nectar and Own Brands. You will collaborate with a team of designers and copywriters to implement a cohesive visual language across brand, print and digital projects. In this fast-paced retail environment, you will handle a high volume of diverse projects, requiring the ability to navigate ambiguity and provide creative solutions. You will stay updated on industry trends and mentor and support the wider team of talented designers, contributing to the design vision and the quality of output. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, uphold brand consistency, meet project deadlines, and foster an innovative and collaborative environment to deliver visually compelling and effective design work.
Who You Are
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you are a highly skilled design professional with a keen eye for crafting visually compelling and effective designs that align with brand identities across multiple prestigious brands. Your extensive knowledge of communication design and expertise in brand, print and digital platforms enables you to implement visual language consistently. In a fast-paced retail environment, your ability to thrive in ambiguity and find innovative solutions to design problems is central to your success.
Essential criteria
* Extensive experience working in a professional design role, ideally within retail, brand, or agency settings.
* Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, crafted design work across brand, print and digital.
* Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro.
* Experience creating mood boards, visual concepts and design systems, and translating briefs into compelling, effective design solutions.
