What you will do
We are looking for an experienced senior Investment Writer to join the EMEA Marketing team, based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing against our content led marketing strategy within the region, from originating thought leadership ‘on the ground’ to tailoring and curating global content generated by the wider US based team. Through executing these two core pillars, the candidate will create a seamless delivery of global programmes complemented by regionally driven programmes.
You will be responsible for originating institutional grade thought leadership by leveraging our network of Subject Matter Experts across our suite of capabilities in both public and private markets. This content should also be adaptable for our wholesale/retail audiences to create efficiencies across our two core target markets. You will understand the regulatory nuances and cultural sensitivities across the EMEA region, and will be able to find relevant angles at country as well as regional level.
What you can expect
* Idea generation to provide EMEA clients with content that delivers both reactive and longer term perspectives/investment implications when navigating markets, regulatory evolution, and changes to their strategic asset allocation objectives.
o Partnering with the subject matter experts, portfolio managers and distribution teams to extract key intellectual capital through interviews and data that can then be utilised to originate long and short form thought leadership.
o Working with our research function to bring quantitative and qualitative studies to life through compelling thought leadership.
o Copywriting/editing across visual and audio media e.g. video scripting/podcasting/advertising where required.
o Building deep relationships with affiliates across PGIM and Prudential to understand our capabilities and suite of strategies/funds in order to devise thematic content that is a natural fit with the challenges we solve for.
o Collaborating with channel marketers to develop the necessary content to promote PGIM’s capabilities to key decision makers, including pension and insurance CIOs, institutional consultants, fund selectors and wealth management firms.
o Working closely with digital and design partners to present content in dynamic and compelling ways drive engagement through multiple delivery channels.
What you will bring
* BA/BS required.
* IMC required, CAIA or CFA designation highly desirable.
* Excellent understanding of ESG, CFA ESG certificate desirable.
* Financial journalism experience desirable but not required.
* 10+ years relevant experience as an investment writer in the asset management industry supporting global initiatives.

* Track record of producing consistent and timely content with an ability to frame what’s happening in capital markets in a way that is actionable and speaks to PGIM’s strengths as an active manager with public and private market expertise.
* Excellent understanding of investment concepts across asset classes (alternatives, fixed income, equities, quant solutions etc.), segments (DB, DC, Insurance, Consultants, Wealth Managers, Private Banks etc.) and a strong ability to make them timely, interesting and accessible for readers.
* Strong relationship builder, accustomed to developing close relationships with all functions and levels of a firm.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with investment professionals to capture and convey PGIM’s best intellectual capital. The technical ability to ask the right questions, research concepts ahead of interview, and capture complex investment detail.
* Strong understanding of writing for web/cross-channel. Ability to write your content with end delivery mechanism in mind, and brief accordingly for build.
