Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a head cook/chef. Help with generating a new modern menu. As a member of a small team, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, producing specials, supervising cleaning schedules and supervising the team alongside tge general manager, assisting with food preparation and service to our customers. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong commitment to food safety, we would love to hear from you.Benefits of no more than 45hr week, not every weekend. Very little late evening work.
Duties:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Help with meal preparation, including assembling dishes and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is Essential.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices Essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
