Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live in Home Care worker to provide essential support to clients in their own homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals who may require assistance with daily activities due to age, illness, or disability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those in need of specialised care.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs
* Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or social activities
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
* Support clients with Alzheimer's or dementia care, employing behaviour management techniques as necessary
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction
Experience
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Home care services providing personal assistance to individuals in their own homes
* First aid certification is advantageous, along with any relevant caregiving qualifications
* Complex care
* End of Life
