Job Title: EIA Consultant
Location: Based near Newport (South Wales)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Responsibilities
* Apply yourself to an array of water-related projects
* Provide key hydrological, water resource, and peat management Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for renewable energy, infrastructure, and transportation projects
* Work with internal and external specialists, to produce EIA
* Prepare and deliver project planning applications
* Contribute to business development strategies
Required skills and experience
* A good Bachelor\'s Degree (Upper Second Class Honours or higher) in an environmental or numerate discipline
* Demonstrable experience in producing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for water environments (e.g. rivers, lakes, wetlands, etc.)
* Experience of coordinating Environmental Assessments
* Excellent working knowledge of EIA regulations
* Good working knowledge of the UK Planning System
* Sound understanding of flood management and drainage strategies/systems
* Proficient in the use of GIS software packages
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
* Outstanding numeracy skills
* Possess a full, valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
* Willing to travel across the UK to undertake a variety of projects
Desirable skills and experience
* An additional Higher Degree/Qualification in a relevant environmental or numerate discipline
* Possess professional membership of a relevant professional body (or proactively working toward this)
