An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Endsleigh Park as a Night Porter. Originally Kingston-Upon-Hull's only convent, Endsleigh Park has been converted into comfortable and modern living spaces, benefiting from a 48-bedroom hotel and a portfolio of onsite apartments for residential letting; all within four acres of grounds and managed by our dedicated team.
Job Summary
To deliver friendly and effective customer service that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere to our guests whilst being responsible for the safety and security of the hotel and its residents overnight.
Responsibilities are to include:
Conducting site walk arounds at regular intervals throughout the night with an emphasis on security and fire safety
Liaising with residents and guests in the hotel professionally, answering all questions and queries in a friendly manner
Ensuring that complaints are resolved courteously and efficiently
A knowledge of the PMS system and carrying out administrative duties as necessary such as late check-ins, early check-outs, making booking amendments and answering the telephone
Be thoroughly familiar with fire and emergency alarm systems and know and follow the exact procedure should there be an emergency
Handling reported noise disturbances
Maintaining the cleanliness of the public areas including the public toilets and the communal kitchen
Projecting a smart and professional image and adhering to the uniform policy
Participate in relevant training provided
Participating in a shift hand over at the end of each shift
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The Night Porter is expected to work in other areas of the Endsleigh Park when needed to assist operations and to perform job duties not necessarily contained within the job description.
Key Requirements:
· Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
· Excellent communication skills
· Good team player with a flexible approach including the willingness to cover sickness and holidays
· Highly motivated, punctual, and reliable
Typical working days are Saturday and Sunday.
