The Role
We have an exciting opportunity within the Global RFP Team for a Senior RFP Writer to support M&G’s Private Markets asset class, focusing on the production of high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs for large-scale wholesale and institutional opportunities.
The role offers exposure to M&G’s core Private Markets strategies, including diversified credit and direct lending, while also supporting P Capital Partners (PCP) following M&G’s acquisition of a majority stake, reinforcing its strategic growth ambitions and leadership in European private assets. The successful candidate will also be flexible in supporting all areas across the Private Markets platform and will have opportunities to support M&G’s wider asset classes as required.
We are seeking an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will bring a proactive, inquisitive and enthusiastic approach to RFP work, with a genuine motivation to learn and develop expertise across M&G’s Private Markets platform.
This role provides the opportunity to further develop writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, while working closely with a high-performing, collaborative, and supportive RFP team.
The Senior RFP Writer will collaborate with teams across M&G, contribute to team strategy, and support the continued success of our award winning and growing Private Markets business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs on M&G/PCP funds across the Wholesale and Institutional businesses.
2. Liaise with investment specialists, directors, content writers, compliance, performance and risk departments etc. and a variety of other sources within M&G to ensure responses are optimal and tailored appropriately.
3. Participate in wider team projects involving the content database (RocketDocs) as well as ad-hoc projects to build the team's profile around the business.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance current processes and controls and support in the improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
5. Experience of working in asset management in an RFP role
6. Previous Private Markets experience and desire to learn about the asset class
7. Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
8. Good creative writing skills and good grammar/authoring; Ability to write in a clear, concise manner.
9. Confident liaising with stakeholders of varying seniority and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements.
10. Knowledge of Q&A databases is preferred (RocketDocs).
11. Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
12. Ability to write for multiple audiences and stakeholders.
13. Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
14. Ability to demonstrate initiative to improve RFP processes and content.Ideally IMC qualified or working towards this or other relevant qualifications.
