Project Engineer (Effector Controller - RMO)
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site)
Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Engineer (RMO) to lead the delivery of a rack-mounted Command and Control Processing Unit and associated infrastructure. This role involves managing hardware delivery, certification, and integration activities, as well as collaborating with internal and external design authorities.
As the technical interface between the project organisation and equipment design teams, you will provide leadership to ensure hardware is designed, accepted, and delivered to meet performance and project commitments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver the processing unit, rack, infrastructure, and integrated subsystems.
2. Take ownership of the physical definition and certification of hardware.
3. Produce and maintain technical and certification documentation.
4. Support functional integration of hardware within the wider system.
5. Act as the technical lead and interface with suppliers and design authorities.

6. Proven experience in project engineering or systems engineering roles.
7. Strong understanding of hardware delivery and certification processes.
8. Ability to coordinate across multiple technical domains.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
